During a recently held event in Uttar Pradesh where PM Modi launched various projects, he said something that made everybody laugh unconditionally.
While attacking the opposition leaders, Modi said he wasn’t afraid of meeting the industrialists openly because he never had any hidden intents. Amidst this unprecedented statement as a head of the government, he pointed to Amar Singh, the controversial leader of the Samajwadi Party.
Modi said anyone can go and ask Singh about how politicians meet industrialists behind closed doors. Amar Singh, the center of attraction for the crowd, burst out laughing.
What followed was Singh’s praise for PM Modi, who once again with his spicy and witty speech made another friend with least amount of effort.
Singh who was expelled from the Samajwadi Party last year hit out at the SP and the BSP saying that these parties were “castiest” and that he would rather support PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath .
Amar also called Congress as a fringe player in UP.
“I believe in politics of sanity and sensitivity … There is no Congress in UP. It is a fringe player. The SP and BSP are the two sides of the same coin,” he said.
“It is for you to decide to prefer Modi and Yogi or “babua-bua,” he added talking about Akhilesh-Mayawati partnership.
