Indian ammunition won’t even last for 10 days in 2 front war: Cong leader

It seems like Congress MPs are aware of India’s defense capabilities more than the Indian defense forces themselves.

Congress MP Rafale deal

This time, locking horns with the India’s mammoth strength to protect itself, Rajya Sabha MP from Congress and former Punjab Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa alleged that BJP led NDA government is fiddling with defence of country.

He further than that the BJP was squandering ‘national interests’ for monetary gains.

Bajwa is in the capital to attack the Modi-led NDA government on Rafale deal which the Congress claims to be dripping in scam.

“India is surrounded by a hostile neighbor like China and Pakistan and no compromise could be made on national security.”

Citing a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, Bajwa said,“ If India were to go to war now, 90 per cent of its available ammunition would not last even for 10 days. As per another report by committee on defence, there should be 42 Squadrons in Air forces but we have only 32.”

“The similar situation holds true for officer-soldier ratio but instead of addressing genuine issues to strengthen defence of country, the government busy in spending taxpayers money to benefit blue-eyed,” he said and termed Rafale as biggest scam of country since 1947.

“The Rafale is a huge scam involving more than Rs 1,50,000 crore. The money being misused belongs to the people and not the BJP,” added Bajwa.

“Our party only wants to know the reasons behind the increase of price for these aircrafts. But the government is not ready to answer.”
